so it was grace's birthday yesterday..... many funny things happened on her birthday....wanted to ask the waiters whether the restaurant provided candles so me and pei ying had to bluff and said that we wanted to go to the washroom....and i must say i was stupid enough to call the restaurant and asked "HI, DO YOU OFFER CANDLES?" like duh! their menu does not have food that contains candles! who eats those things? and pei ying and i laughed like mad...so no choice, we had to purchase candles....imagine this scenario...two "idiots" carrying a handbag, a plastic bag and a so called wallet have no money at all! so we had no choice but to call corinne to rescue us! finally we got a cake for her! hid the cake and just when you thought everything was successful...... guess what? we did not have a lighter! so once again....i had to pretend to talk over the phone and told everyone that i have to meet a friend outside...instead i went to ask for a lighter....next up.....sock kee was trying to light the candles but at the same time hid the cake...as the chair that we sat on was white in colour.....so when she was lighting the candle...the chair suddenly became so bright! and the best part was grace was oblivious to what was happening! and boo! surprise for her! slanted candles though....all of us were laughing like crazy! haha....after that, all the 5 gals, grace, pei ying, sock kee, corinne and i went esplanade for cam-whoring! i think we spent an hour doing that...doing all the lame poses :) then it was off to kim seng plaza for bowling with my ex-colleagues.....lovely people..i miss them so much...and thanks mr "lazy" for the advices and being the telephone companion!

ok so much so for yesterday, today was the teaching day...well teaching was very fun though it was slightly tiring... and i came across something which was pretty amazing....the result of not knowing what to write for chinese composition..

oh well..something that i happened to come across....
anyway, sometimes i just don't understand why people never appreciate what was being done for them...they just take things for granted...and never once would they accommodate...i guess i shall always go back to my own logic: you need these people to balance the world...that is what always consoles me.
